Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) or Pelindo IV cooperates with the private sector namely PT China Communication Construction Engineering Indonesia (CCCEI) to develop ports in Eastern Indonesia (KTI). Director of Pelindo IV, Doso Agung in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/15) said that the development of ports in Eastern Indonesia requires substantial funding, which was impossible for his party. Therefore, continued Doso, with the vast working area of Pelindo IV, his party cooperates with CCCEI as a partner in developing ports in Eastern Indonesia.
He revealed, currently there are at least 22 ports managed by Pelindo IV. Among others, located in Papua, Sulawesi, Maluku and East Kalimantan. "Our work area is very broad, 50% of Indonesia. But of all Pelindo's, our financial capability is the smallest, "said Doso. In the collaboration signed on Wednesday (11/15), CCCEI will conduct a Study and Detailed Engineering Design (DED) of the potential for port development in Eastern Indonesia. The study and DED was obtained by Pelindo IV for free and is not binding. "They (CCCEI) are also ready to fund port development projects in the work area of Pelindo IV based on the studies and DEDs they have made," he said.
In addition to establishing cooperation with CCCEI, Pelindo IV also signed a partnership with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. to utilize Pelindo IV's assets. Doso said, the company has assets in 18 locations that are potential to be developed into property projects. "For example in Manado, where the company has assets of 1-2 hectares located in the Marina Port of Manado.
